Meet the Team
Dr. Brian Miller
Optometrist
Dr. Miller grew up in Shelby, MT. He majored in biology at the University of Arkansas and graduated in 1999 Summa cum laude. After graduation, he attended Pacific University College of Optometry.
After receiving a distinguished Health Professions Scholarship from the United States Navy, he served as
an optometrist at the Naval Submarine Base in Groton, Connecticut from 2003 to 2006.
In 2006, he purchased Lakeland Eye Clinic and Kellogg Vision Center. Dr. Miller’s practice specialties are ocular disease including glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and performing diabetic eye exams.

Dr. Miller has been a board member of Idaho Optometric Physicians since 2015. He has spoken at
various conferences as well as having meetings with legislators to advocate for optometrists throughout
the state of Idaho to continue to provide the most innovative and superior care in the field of
Optometry. For 2025, Dr. Miller was chosen to be the President of the Idaho Optometric Association.
Dr. Miller, his wife, Kasi, and their two sons love spending time outdoors and bowling. He continues to support the community such as sponsoring events for Rathdrum Parks and Recreation.
Dr. Brian Finley
Optometrist
Dr. Finley was born and raised in Richland, WA. As a youth, he always loved traveling to the Cocolalla area to visit his relatives and easily fell in love with northern Idaho. After high school, he served a two-year mission for his church in the eastern European country of Bulgaria.
He graduated from Brigham Young University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2006. He then received his Doctorate of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in 2010.
After finishing his schooling, Dr. Finley served honorably in the United States Army as a medical officer. During his time at Fort Carson, Colorado, Dr. Finley created a vision rehabilitation clinic for wounded soldiers returning from war with traumatic brain injuries, who were struggling with vision issues that were then not being addressed.
Dr. Finley specializes in pediatrics and amblyopia (lazy eye) treatment, contact lens fittings, medical walk-ins, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy management. He is also available for complete eye examinations.
Dr. Finley resides in Coeur d'Alene and loves exploring the great outdoors. You can usually find him on the lake with his wife, Melissa, and their four children.
